A Vet Tech or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) is a professional who provides animals with the services they require at a veterinary clinic. These animal nurses work under the supervision of Veterinarians to help ensure that various types of animals receive routine and emergency medical and clinical services to live healthy lives.

Vet Techs undergo extensive training to treat different animals.* Some of their duties include monitoring vital signs, preparing animals for surgeries and taking X-rays.
